The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track Clinical Associate/Full Professor to join our dynamic and collaborative team.
We seek an innovative faculty member with a primary teaching role to join our department in meeting its mission to advance societal health through innovative education, connection, leadership, and research in physical therapy.
Application reviews will begin in mid-November 2024 and will continue until the position is filled. The clinical academic rank for this position will be clinical associate professor or full clinical professor commensurate with experience and credentials.
The Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University is home to a 2-year hybrid DPT program, an orthopedic physical therapy residency, and an interdepartmental collaborative PhD program.
The Department of Physical Therapy is fully hybrid, with faculty and staff who live across the United States. Faculty may live and lead remotely but must be willing to travel to/work in Waco, TX, for designated periods, including weekends.

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $115,000.00 - $140,000.00. Required:
• An earned entry-level physical therapist degree from a CAPTE-accredited institution, with either a doctoral degree in physical therapy (DPT, tDPT), or a terminal academic degree (PhD, DSc, EdD).
• Experience successfully teaching in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs with specific teaching experience in anatomy and musculoskeletal.
• Collaborative working style (strong communication and interpersonal skills) with faculty and students and model a philosophy consistent with the Department of Physical Therapy's vision and values, and Baylor University's Christian mission.

Preferred:

Position Summary
Whitworth University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program invites applications for an 11.5-month tenure or non-tenure track faculty position with a specialization in neurological rehabilitation. Applicants must demonstrate the relevance and ability to work collaboratively in course design, teach in interdisciplinary courses, and contribute to the development of a neurological residency.
Core Responsibilities
The role entails contributing to team instruction within one's areas of expertise and actively participating in the improvement of class materials and syllabi. Additionally, involvement in the development of a physical therapy neurological rehabilitation residency program is required. Maintaining a scholarly agenda to meet CAPTE requirements, advising and mentoring DPT students, participating in student supervision and patient treatment during clinical experiences, and fostering interprofessional education and collaboration are essential aspects of the position. The Department of Physical Therapy (PT), College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Kentucky (UK), is seeking a full-time 11-month appointment, tenure eligible faculty member at rank determined by qualifications in the Special Title Series, to begin employment at the Lexington campus by August 1, 2023.
The UK physical therapy program has been educating physical therapists since 1967. The program offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree on two campus locations which includes the Lexington campus and the Center of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) in Hazard, Kentucky. Both campuses afford opportunities for close interaction with faculty, serving local communities, conducting research, and engaging in clinical practice. The CAPTE-accredited program has cohorts of 48 students on the Lexington campus and 18 students on the CERH campus. This position will be primarily located on the Lexington campus.
The UK DPT faculty is comprised of numerous physical therapists with post professional doctoral training who are involved in clinical, bench, and educational research, as well as clinical faculty involved in delivery of patient care services. The PT faculty are national experts devoted to teaching, research, clinical practice, and service. Due to our additional presence in the CHS Rehabilitation and Health Sciences PhD Program, research laboratories, and UK Healthcare system, our research portfolio is diverse and places a high value on translational and interdisciplinary science. Assistant Professor or Clinical Instructor
The University of Central Arkansas is recruiting a full-time faculty member to join our dynamic, student-focused Department of Physical Therapy. The University of Central Arkansas clinical instructor or assistant professor is a core faculty member who engages in teaching, research, and service in the Department of Physical Therapy, which offers the DPT and PhD degrees and a pediatric residency program. This position is a 9-month tenure or non-tenure track appointment with a summer option.
Requirements and Responsibilities: The assistant professor rank requires a terminal academic degree in physical therapy, rehabilitation science, or a related field. Candidates without the terminal academic degree may be considered for a non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of clinical instructor. Rank and salary are commensurate with candidate education and experience. Candidates are required to have experience in teaching or to demonstrate the willingness to become proficient in course preparation, course delivery, and student assessment.
Teaching responsibilities include DPT-level course content commensurate with education and experience. Knowledge and expertise in areas such as spinal cord injury, amputation, inpatient care, medical screening, and differential diagnosis in physical therapy would be considered assets. The ability to mentor students in research would also be a strength. Background in implementation of experiential learning and interprofessional education or ABPTS Board Certification or other advanced certification in a related field will also be considered assets.
