About
Eddie Traylor serves as the Director of Clinical Education in the Doctor of Physical
Therapy Program at Langston University in Oklahoma. He earned his bachelor’s
degree in education and a second BS in physical therapy from Langston University,
master’s degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma and his
Doctor in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University. He has maintained
membership in APTA since 1992 and belongs to the following sections: Academy of
Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management, Academy of Geriatrics,
Academy of Orthopedics Academy of Physical Therapy Education Eddie has served
as an item writer for National Physical Therapy Exam and involved in the
Specialization Academy of Content Experts as an item writer for Orthopedics.
Recently appointed to the Specialty Council for Wound management and serves as
the item review coordinator. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Physical
Therapy and involved in the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American
Congress of Rehab Medicine.
Donna Sylvester, PT, DPT is an assistant professor in the School of Physical
Therapy at Langston University. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in Geriatric
Physical Therapy and a Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults. She currently
serves as an item writer in geriatrics for the Specialization Academy of Content
Experts. Prior to teaching, she owned and operated a physical therapy clinic and
fitness center in rural Oklahoma for 24 years. Her rural practice incorporated
outpatient, aquatic, home health, nursing home and acute care clients throughout the
lifespan. Dr. Sylvester graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences
Center with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and from Langston University
with a post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
